India being under lockdown seem to have affected a lot of student's education and their learning process. A state of being that has kept us feeling uncertain, uncomfortable and isolated for quite a few days now. Every course that is offered in the campus, from Fashion and Apparel Design to Interior Design and Decoration has been shifted to online classes.
Dr. N R Shetty, being an inspiration among us, who even now considers himself a students and wants to learn each day to lend authenticity to his visions. He organized a video conference to the Principal and professors of NSFTID discussing new methods and his insights to make online classes more attractive, fun and interactive! He also quotes George Bernard Shaw "Life is not about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself".
Dr. Sandhya Ravi says "We are lucky to have a birds-eye view of the entire situation. Let's use this information to learn up-skill and be ready for future situations like this. University will maintain the teaching-learning process in all postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The study materials have been uploaded on the Google drive along with solved question papers and MCQs and have been made accessible to students unit wise for both the departments. As second internals had to be cancelled, we have found an innovative way to address this situation and have asked students to share a 15 minutes seminar on given topics according to which they will be assessed and valued."
